Military Reconnaissance Drone Development began by 1994 by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems First used in the Balkans but most notably used in Iraq and Afganistan Used by U.S. and Royal Air forces Kipphut EE 587 Predator Drone

Two Versions… Original version was strictly for reconnaissance. Eventually laser designators were added to assist other aircraft with targeting before their own Hellfire missile systems were added Today, border patrol and NASA use unarmed versions while Air Force uses armed version Kipphut EE 587 Predator Drone

Flight Systems Capable of both remote piloted and fully autonomous operation Triple redundant control systems Solid state digital avionics Several different communication links as well as signals intelligence and electronic warfare modules Kipphut EE 587 Predator Drone
