This technique uses the popularity of a programme to encourage viewers to watch a newer sitcom either before or after the popular show. 2. A block of programmes which encourages audience flow and means the people watching the channel will be likely to keep watching. 3. A show is shown between two lesser known shows. For example, E4 bank on a BBT having so much audience appeal that they can place two lesser known shows on either side. 4. A technique which occurs when the other main channels are showing programmes aimed at different audiences to a channel such as E4 showing BBT. 5. A less popular or well-known show is shown inbetween two popular shows in the hope it gains the viewers from these shows.
