What is an email? An email is a sort of like a global communication center. That is accessed for the computer. It is a method of exchanging messages from person to person. Example: Who can give me an example of an email? Think of an email as tiny mail men delivering mail, but they are using computers as their delivery system.

What is an email used for? The answer is communication. It can be used to contact relatives across the world, even to send documents to jobs, send birthday cards, etc. Instead of writing a letter and placing it in the mail, and having to wait days until the recipient receives it. You can send an email and the person receiving it can get it in seconds!!!
