Updated 1.24.2017 In advance of delivering this module, make sure you have the following all set… Copies of the ATD Warehouse Toolkit for attendees Use this slide to welcome the team to this module Disciplines to drive excellence into your daily work and mindset from warehouse to delivery. Stage Standard Work

What is Stage SW? What is X? Review the purpose on this slide. The Stage Standard Work (SW) outlines the process for how to stage with consistency and excellence.

What is Stage SW? What is X? There are 4 main activities that occur during the Staging process. Each activity has steps. Each of these steps is outlined in this module. Picker Placement Product Placement Small Product Product Consolidation Review this slide.

What value does having a standard Staging process provide to… The ATD Discussion Board What value does having a standard Staging process provide to… You as a Warehouse Operator? Our company? Our customers? Ask each of these questions taking comments after each.

There are 4 main activities that occur during this process. What is X? Stage SW There are 4 main activities that occur during this process. Picker Placement Product Placement Small Product Product Consolidation Share that we will now move into the first main activity. Before transitioning to the next slide, ask the team the question at the bottom of the slide. What are important steps we need to follow when performing picker placement?

Picker Placement Stage SW What is X? Back the picker into middle of the designated Stage Lane Leave one pallet length of space from dock safety line that runs about 5 feet from the dock door or from product already staged at the lane. This allows enough space for product placement Unhook from the harness lanyard Review this slide

Picker Placement Product Placement Small Product Product Consolidation Share that we will now move into the first main activity. Before transitioning to the next slide, ask the team the question at the bottom of the slide. What are important steps we need to follow during product placement?

Product Placement Stage SW What is X? A. Quantities of 4 or more Stack along tape or painted line that divides the Stage Lane from the other Stage Lane on the floor Stack with all labels facing inward toward Stage Lane When have multiple stacks, leave approx. 4-6” gap between tire stacks, stacking product side by side Utilize both sides of the Stage Lane Review this slide

Product Placement Stage SW What is X? B. Quantities of 2 or 3 Stack these quantities in front and in the gaps where the quantities of 4+ are staged If no stacks of 4+ are present, stack these approx. 3 feet from that tape/painted line to allow for 4+ stacks to be placed behind Stack with the labels facing inward toward the Stage Lane Review this slide

Product Placement Stage SW What is X? C. Single Quantity Roll to the front of the staging area closest to the dock door Stand the tire up with the label facing up Multiple single tires can be leaned against each other in this area Stack on both sides of the Stage Lane If space is no longer available at front of the dock, stand tire on top of other stacks toward the front of the Stage Lane Review this slide

Picker Placement Product Placement Small Product Product Consolidation Share that we will now move into the next main activity. Before transitioning to the next slide, ask the team the question at the bottom of the slide. What are important steps we need to follow with small product?

Small Product (i.e. tubes, wheels, supplies, turf tires) What is X? Stage SW Small Product (i.e. tubes, wheels, supplies, turf tires) This product can be placed in front of the single tires staged near the dock door If have large turf tires then follow above guidelines for product quantity Review this slide

Picker Placement Product Placement Small Product Product Consolidation Share that we will now move into the last main activity. Before transitioning to the next slide, ask the team the question at the bottom of the slide. What are important steps we need to follow with product consolidation?

Product Consolidation What is X? Stage SW Product Consolidation As more product arrives at the Stage Lane, more opportunities arise for product to be consolidated If dropping a quantity of 3, look at the singles to see if a 4th tire is there If dropping a quantity of 2, look to see if another stack of 2 is there If dropping a single, look to see if a stack of 4, 3 or 2 is already there Review this slide

Wrap-up Discussion What is X? What are the important things to remember when it comes to this Standard Work? What’s our greatest risk if we don’t follow this? Ask each question taking comments.
