History It was founded as a royal town in 1213 by the Moravian margrave Vladislav Jindřich. The town was to become the centre of mining of precious metals, but this place never came true.
Uničov is one of the most oldest town in the Czech Republic so there have been plenty of monuments till now. In the centre of the town there is situated Masaryk‘s square with a beautiful Town hall and Marian Column.
