Back ground: Trade unions are the most important phenomena which originated with establishment of modern societies. the trade unions are a grouping links between economics, politics and sociology Distinguished from other political groupings such as parties and pressure groups in that it looks like a crucible which a group with a similar profession , aspiration and thus the unity of purpose are melt there in other words, that the rate of harmony is too big between them compared to other political, social or economic gatherings Sudanese trade unions are an important social force . they have played eminent economic and political roles in Sudan recent past

Project goal: Industrial Private sector trade union membership has declined rapidly that may be due to economic crises which create a new economic polices to be adapted such as privatization programs targeting to improve the efficiency of state enterprises, free up resources for social services, and mobilize capital for expansion and modernization. Despite its importance, labor is one of the least addressed issues in privatization and so the trade unions

Objective: 1- to increase the number of trade unions in industrial private sector 2- To safe the workers fundamental rights according to international labor Conventions. 3- to increase the financial resources of trade union for activity implementation.

:(Expected outcome(results Many benefits could be achieved through this project as follows: 1- increased the membership of the general trade union. 2- increased the potentiality of the trade union as pressure group . 3- an opportunity for contribution in formulation of i Industrial policies which come in favor of the employers themselves and so the workers

Activities: The project will be done through the following stages : Stage one : Data collection : determination and mapping for targeted industries in the industrial private sectors . Stage two: -Promotional activity : meetings with the employers and the workers to explain the services that will be provided to the employer and the workers .

-Workshops and seminars(invite the employer and related ministry such as industry and investment) to discuss the obstacles which faced the industry and the role of workers Stage three: Trade union establishment (according to high density workers) Target group: sudanese and foreign investors – woprkers

Cooperating partners : -Sudanese employer federation SWTUF. Ministry of industry and ministry of investment . Responsibility: Monitoring and evaluation mechanisms: will be through the establishment of trade union in the sector . Positive side : Ensure the preservation of the workers rights. Negative side: Create an unattractive climate for investment in the country.
