Formative Assessment with Technology Using kahoot, quizizz, Google Forms & More! Laurie Conzemius

Formative Assessments Use to inform instruction (not punish) Use for review Use as exit slips Use as discussion starters Use to introduce a new concept Use to provide feedback to students Use to provide feedback to teacher

Creating the Assessment Plan ahead: Why? What do you hope the outcome will be? What do your learners already know? How do they learn best? Are there some who might not feel successful? What then? Where will you be playing? How many questions do you have time (and student energy) for? Do you need “talk time” between the questions? Will your students be able to read the questions and answers?

Ideal for a homework assignment. You can set a deadline up to 2 weeks into the future. Game automatically ends at the deadline. Students can resume a half-done assignment later.
