Great indian leaders

Bhagat Singh He formed Naujavan Sabha to promote unity and oppose communalism. He advocated for armed revolt against British as we was already disillusioned with Gandhian idea of Satyagraha and sudden withdrawal of Non-Cooperation Movement.  To avenge the death of Lala Lajpat Rai, he and Azad, etc. killed Saunders.

Mahatma Gandhi Mahatma Gandhi was the fore front eminent political and ideological leader during the Indian independence movement.  He pioneered satyagraha, resistance to tyranny through mass civil resistance.  His philosophy was firmly founded upon truth and ahimsa (nonviolence).  His philosophy and leadership helped India gain independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.   Gandhiji is referred to as Mahatma or "Great Soul“.  In India, he is also called Bapu and officially honored in India as the Father of the Nation

Some more leaders

Women freedom fighters

Rani Lakshmi Bai A name etched in history for her bravery forever. She was the queen of Maratha ruled state of Jhansi. She was the first prominent women freedom fighter, who participated in the first freedom rebellion of 1857. British wanted to take over the princely state of Jhansi under the cover of “Doctrine of Lapse”. Even Hugh Rose praised her bravery and commented that she is the most dangerous of all Indian leaders.

Kasturba Gandhi Kasturba Gandhi played role as a political activist who was fighting for civil rights as well as Indian independence. She accompanied her husband(Mahatma Gandhi) to all demonstrations and movements and even took his place in his absence. She played the role of teaching Indians basic lesson of health, hygiene, discipline, reading, and writing due to lack of proper education to all. She played an important role at the back stage of the freedom struggle.

Sarojini Naidu Popularly known as “the nightingale of India” Sarojini Naidu contributed towards freedom struggle by joining politics during the wake of Partition of Bengal in 1905. She travelled to various places in India and delivered lectures on social welfare, making women aware towards freedom struggle and invoking them to participate, and arousing feeling of nationalism through her lectures.

Usha Mehta Savitribai Phule A very great contribution to her credit is the origination of Congress Radio also known as Secret Congress Radio, which was an underground radio station which was active for few months during the Quit India Movement of 1983. Due to this clandestine activity she was imprisoned in Yeravda Jail of Pune. She was also a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and a freedom fighter.

SURVEY ANALYSIS PEOPLES TICKS NO. OF QUESTIONS

Conclusion After researching a lot on the project, we realised that there was no major reason for which we paid so much(were under the clutches of Britishers). It was just that we were not united. They simply attacked at this weakness, implied the policy of divide and rule and took over. From that past, we all must learn a lesson to be united. “Unity is strength”.
