TIME MANAGEMENT Team Meeting August 21st 2017

INTRODUCTION Time itself cannot be managed. It is constant and it always goes forward, never backwards. Everyone has the same amount of time in a day. What makes the difference is how each one uses their time. Therefore, if you are managing time, you are not trying to manipulate time, you are trying to make the best use of your time.

WHAT IS TIME MANAGEMENT

TIME MANAGEMENT - Defined Time management is a set of principles, practices, skills, tools and systems that help you use your time to accomplish what you want. It can also be said to be the act of taking conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities.

Purpose Of Time Management The main purpose of time management is to increase productivity, effectiveness and efficiency. In time management, you practice skills and use tools and techniques to aid you to accomplish tasks, projects or work towards goals and deadlines. Thus Time Management has everything to do with the achievement of set GOALS and OBJECTIVES.

Components Of Time Management Time management involves; Effective scheduling of your time Goal setting Prioritizing- choosing what to do and what not to do Delegating tasks Analysing and reviewing your spent time Keeping your concentration and focus at your work Motivating yourself to work towards your GOAL.

CASES Time Management In Sales 100 percent of your sales and income are generated by the number of minutes that you spend face-to-face with prospects and clients. If you want to increase the amount of money you make, you must increase the number of minutes that you spend in actual selling activity, face-to-face with PEOPLE WHO CAN, and WILL BUY from you. CASES

Time Management In Sales Begin with goal setting: have clear income and sales goals. Plan your general schedule for the week and organise them into daily activities. Write them down in a book instead of keeping them in your head. Schedule time for prospecting, selling and customer service activities

Time Management In Sales Give up less important tasks. Write down contacts of referrals and prospects. Spend quality time with prospects talking about your products. Avoid unproductive conversations. Learn to manage your distractions very well.

Essential Daily Sales Activities In our daily sales activities, we should find ourselves doing one or more of the following; Making a phone call to set up a meeting Asking for referral Setting an appointment Getting a solid referral Attending a networking event Meeting with an existing client Doing a resale. Meeting with a prospect Making a sales presentation CLOSING THE SALE (Cases)

Procrastination Vs. Time Management Procrastination is the opposite of proper time management. Your job description as a salesperson is to sell policies, CREATE and KEEP customers. Measure your effectiveness by how many new customers you create, or resales you generate in any given time period. DON’T DO IT LATER, DO IT NOW !!!
