What is Project Lead the Way (PLTW)? PLTW is the leader in STEM education A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, delivering STEM programs to more than 8,000 elementary, middle, and high schools across the nation A project-based curriculum that gives students a chance to apply what they know, identify a problem, find unique solutions, and lead their own learning rather than be passive recipients of information Aligned with Common Core State Standards in Math and English Language Arts, Next Generation Science Standards, and other national and state standards www.pltw.org Project Lead The Way is the nation's leading provider of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs. This is different than just “STEM” education. This programs engages students, and develops problem solving and critical thinking skills.

What We Want to Accomplish Fully implement STEM curricula in grades K through 12 Develop partnerships and relationships to enhance and improve the program Ensure long term sustainability of the program We began implementing the curriculum in 2014 with the biomedical modules. In 2015 Engineering modules were added, and the program expanded into the middle and grade school. Computer Science, Biomedical and Engineering are embedded in the program K-12 Reaction to the program from the students has been positive. They have found it to be a creative way to explore and learn. Add quotes, experiences of kids
