Fabric Art with Lights

Your Task Today you are going to design a background. The background title will be given to you in your group and you must work together to design one idea. Then you will need to decide which fabrics you would like to use. Stick a small piece of fabric to your design in the place you’re going to use it! Finally you will each create a character that you will make to go onto your background. Make sure it makes sense! If you scene is underwater it wouldn’t make sense to have a cat! You’ll need to think where lights might be used in your piece and what colour fabrics you will need!

Rain Forest

Under the Sea

Sky Scrapers

Haunted House

Remember First design a group background (if you want to include lights here too just tell us!) choose the fabrics you want and attach them in the place you want them. Then create your ‘character’ on your own – this could be an animal, person, building or something else! Make sure you label where you would like your lights and colour your design in. On your table there is 1 sheet of large sugar paper for your background design. The fabric samples are at the front. There is also individual A4 paper for your character design. Coloured pencils will be on your table!
