Changing customer perspective Which term title from your list goes with this description. Is it? A B C D E F G Description 1 Scare stories from the media Identity theft Items not being delivered Value is just as important as low prices Service – the majority of websites offer a 24-hour delivery time for a small additional cost Ease – e-commerce from home is effortless Security – there are a number of ways to protect customers and websites to reassure the customers

Economic and social impact Which term title from your list goes with this description. Is it? A B C D E F G Description 2 Alienating certain groups in society With the rise of e-commerce threatening traditional business There are issues for people who do not have access to the Internet Those who only have a 56K dial up modem – broadband is not accessible making e-commerce not a very effective experience Low income can mean that: A computer or Internet subscription is not affordable Lower priced goods are not attainable

Bricks and Clicks Organisations AQA CD-ROM Bricks and Clicks Organisations Which term title from your list goes with this description below. Is it? A B C D E F G Description 3 E-commerce is one of the most radical changes to business within the last century Combination of the high street and the virtual world – bricks and clicks organisations are changing the face of shopping No need to physically go to the high street There are changes in how business is carried out The patterns of some customers’ behaviour has changed

Benefits for customers Which term title from your list goes with this description below. Is it? A B C D E F G Description 4 Customers do not need to leave their house Especially if they live in remote places Good for individuals who have mobility difficulties Buy products 24/7 and browse at their leisure Benefits the people whose jobs do not fit the normal routine of 9 to 5 Stores can offer goods at lower prices than the high street T hey don’t have to pay for rent or utilities or staff for a physical store Search facilities i.e. like gocompare.com Search for a product and compare prices

A B C D E F G Description 5 Trust is one of the biggest hurdles for a new e-commerce business Customers may fear putting in personal and financial details into the site Concern over receiving the goods Not being able to inspect a product before it is bought Concerns about receiving the goods on time when relying on a delivery service

Impact on customers Description 6 Which term title from your list goes with this description below. Is it? A B C D E F G Description 6 The world is getting smaller...is it becoming more socially divided? Communication is more easy to access You can contact anyone and anywhere in the world Businesses can open themselves up to a global market place This increases challenges which is advantageous to customers (as long as the customers can afford the appropriate technology to participate in e-commerce) Booksellers are facing huge competition with Amazon E-commerce sites can offer deals at better prices So traditional businesses must change their methods of advertising as well as methods of business
