Hi! I am an Engi..um..Physicist Got my Master and Undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering at University of Bath.

Hi! I am an Engi..um..Physicist I applied for Permanent Residency at the end of my engineering study, with a little complication and knowing how “efficient” the UK Home Office is, I reckon it will take at least a year. Not wanting to waste time, I enrolled the High Energy Physics masters course at UCL…Which got me into physics and subsquetely, to here at Manchester.

Vector Boson Fusion Higgs Boson Pair Production in 4b final state at 14 TeV Decided to pursue a PhD as I believed if I had more time to focus on the project I would have done the job much more comprehensively.

Current Work Repeating Atlas Half-Ring cooling and thermal characteristics. Getting efficient in operating equipment in the Clean room

Timepix Chip, new Atlas 3D detector Chips, and CO2 Micro-channel Cooling Here at Manchester I will be starting to work on hardware, namely the Timepix pixel detector readout chip, testing Atlas 3D detectors, and CO2 Micro-channel cooling to counteract radiation damage of the detectors.

Timepix Chip Evolved from Medipix for X- and gamma-ray imaging applications, which counts photons after a detector converts wave to signals Apart from counting, Timepix can record time over threshold or the arrival time of particle to detector.

New Atlas 3D detector Chips These are the detectors planned for High Lumi upgrades installation in 2025 onwards. My job would be a quality control and to test and analysis radiation damage impact on their performance.

CO2 Micro-channel Cooling Designed to better the cooling performance of existing Atlas modules. It has the advantage of maintaining same temperature over the entire flow, It has more channels than the current equipment.
