Proclamation of 1763

Who did it happen to? It affected to colonists of America,and the Indian tribes beyond the colonies.

What happened? The Proclamation declared that colonial expansion be prohibited and that all English settlements in “Indian Territory” were to be abandoned.

The Proclamation was signed on October 7, in the year 1763. When did it happen? The Proclamation was signed on October 7, in the year 1763.

Where did it happen? The Proclamation was written and signed in England, but affected the Indian Tribes and English colonies in America.

Why did it happen, and what was the outcome? It was created to calm the fears of Indians that the colonists would tread west into their land, and because of improving fur trade, remaining hostilities were abolished.
