3x + 5 = 0 3x = -5 x = -5/3 Finding the x-intercept. x > -5/3 or (–5/3, ) Finding the positive y-coordinates. 3x + 5 = -2x + 15 +2x – 5 = +2x – 5 5 x = 10 x = 2 Finding where the two functions intersect. Finding where the y values of the f function is larger than the y values of the g function. x > 2 or [2, )

The Quantity Supplied of a good is the amount of a product that a company is willing to make available for sale at a given price. The Quantity Demanded of a good is the amount of a product that a consumers are willing to purchase at a given price. The Equilibrium Price of a product is defined as the price at which quantity supplied equals quantity demanded. The Equilibrium Quantity is defined as the amount demanded (or supplied) at the equilibrium price.

Equilibrium quantity is 70 Gaucho Dogs. Find where S(p) = D(p). Find either S(3) = D(3). Equilibrium quantity is 70 Gaucho Dogs. price = $3 Find where D(p) < S(p). If you sell for more than $3, then you will have leftover Gaucho Dogs. p > 3 price Increase the price of the Gaucho Dogs.
