Variables that determine transportation footprint Type of good or service: volume or weight determines the type of transportation and the occupation (kg/€ or m3/€). Amount paid in € determines the amount of cargo and the number of trips for one order or invoice. Type of transportation: delivery van, small lorry, medium lorry, big lorry or heavy-goods lorry determines the maximum vehicle capacity (kg or m3) and emissions (CO2, NOx etc.) per kilometre. Distance from by-pass to destination determines the amount of kilometres per trip. Occupancy of the invoice on vehicle capacity in % determines the part of the vehicle capacity which is occupied by the order.
