Ezekiel 2:4-9 – To preach to God’s “impudent” (cocky) and Ezekiel 1:5 & 28 – An immense cloud with flashing lights and “four living creatures”; The radiance and glory around God caused him to fall on his face. Ezekiel 2:4-9 – To preach to God’s “impudent” (cocky) and stiff-necked children
Isaiah 6:9-12 & Jeremiah 1:17-19 – They were all called to preach to the backslidden Israelites. Ezekiel 3:18 – We are to warn people of the consequences of their sins or be responsible for their doom.
Ezekiel 8:7-13 – The temple was filled with idols that the elders of Israel worshipped, saying their God had forsaken them. Ezekiel 9:4-10 – He is going to allow many people to be killed and the temple to be defiled.
Ezekiel 18:19-20 – The people were judged for their own sins, not for those of their parents. 1. Ammonites (Ammon) 2. Moab 3. Edom 4. Philistines (Philistia)
They all bordered the Promised Land and were aware of Jehovah God. Ezekiel 33:11 – “Say unto them . . . I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?”
Ezekiel 37:4-6 – Preach to the bones. Ezekiel 37:7-14 – The bones became living people and stood on their feet like a great army. It meant Israel would live again in their homeland, even though it looked hopeless.
