Vocabulary

hop A movement that leaves the ground from on foot and lands on the same foot.

walk To move on foot at an easy, steady pace.

slide A movement from side to side

gallop A forward movement one foot at a time leading with the same foot.

jump A movement that leaves the ground from two feet and lands on two feet.

leap A locomotor movement that leaves the ground from one foot and lands on the other foot.

rotation The spinning of the earth on its axis.

orbit The path around an object.

sun The star closest to the Earth.

moon The largest object you can see in the night sky.
