How and when was Saturn discovered? Saturn was seen in ancient times with the naked eye. The early Romans named Saturn after their god of farming and harvest. In 1610,Galileo Galilei was the first astronomer to see Saturn with a telescope. In 1656,Christiaan Huygens was the first to see Saturn’s rings with a telescope. In 1944,astonomers noticed the storm called the Great White Spot on Saturn.

How and when was Saturn discovered? Galileo Galilei was the first astronomer to see Saturn with a telescope.

What does Saturn look like? *Saturn is round and has rings which are dark and light. *Saturn has the largest rings in the Solar System. *Saturn is the second largest planet in the Solar System and has a diameter of about 75,000 miles. *Saturn looks yellow due to its atmosphere. *Saturn is made of gases and liquids and is solid at its core.

What does Saturn look like? * This is what Saturn’s rings look like . They are really rocky!!!

What are some facts about Saturn’s moons? Saturn has 59 total moons. Saturn’s moons are mostly made of rock and ice. Saturn’s biggest moon is named Titan. Titan is bigger than Mercury!!! Rhea is Saturn’s second largest moon. Saturn’s moons are all different sizes, textures, shapes and colors.

What are some facts about Saturn’s moons? * There is only one planet in our Solar System that has more moons than Saturn. It is Jupiter with 63 moons. WOW!!!!

Reflection What I Think I love Saturn!!!  *I chose Saturn as my project because I love the pretty rings!!! *The most surprising thing I learned about Saturn was that its biggest moon (Titan) Is bigger than the planet Mercury!!!  * I would not research Saturn again because I think I’ve learned a LOT about it and next time , I want to research Neptune!!! 

I think they look good in spacesuits!!! THANKS FOR WATCHING!!! *Spongebob and Patrick have to do with space!!!  I think they look good in spacesuits!!!
