Gap Year Assignment By Audrey Mellor

Details About African Impact African Impact is the largest ground-facilitator volunteering in Africa. African Impact was founded in 2004. They offer a huge range of services such as community and conservation projects. In 2010 and 2011 they were awarded with Best Social Involvement award. It is run by Andrew and Wendy Conolly. There first project was called Antelope Park. They are based in Cape town, South Africa. There team is made up of people from many different cultures all with the same passion and enthusiasm for helping.

Which Social Justice Issue that is being Addressed The social justice issue that is my volunteer work addresses is education. Education is a huge problem in all developing countries, there is a constant lack of teaches and cheap education but millions of students eager to learn. By going over to South Africa and helping educate younger children it will give them a hope of breaking free of the poverty cycle and creating a better life for them and their children.

For My Gap Year I will be Working in South Africa = Redhill

Specifics of The Project that I will be Working On The project that I will be working on is educating children and teaching at Redhill Community Pre-school. I will be staying and volunteering at the school for six weeks during 2016 sometime.

Once you have sent your message you are well on your way to helping Africa become a better place.
