Prefect Duties PREFECT JOB DESCRIPTION PERSONAL QUALITIES: Good attendance (95% and above) and punctuality record. Positive behaviour record. Exemplary appearance/uniform. Polite and courteous to others. Well organised/good time management. Approachable. Team player. Effective communication skills. A good role model for the school.

Prefect Duties Generic responsibilities: Undertake duties as directed by staff. Attend schools functions as required. Upholding the school rules/expectations at all times. Support younger pupils. Take part in interviews and tours of the school as required.

How to apply? Please follow the following points when applying to be a Prefect or Head Boy/Girl: 1) Ideas of what you may include in your letter could be: Helping out at school events (be specific) Name any clubs and committees that you are involved in What have you done/ been involved in with the year group during your time at school. Details of any clubs/ activities which you do outside of school which may help your role What skills do you possess (communication, team player etc) 2) Check through your letter: get somebody else to check it. 3) Ask any member of the year team for support if you are stuck. 4) Submit letter to box in reception by Friday 3rd March 2017@ 3pm

What next? After you have submitted your letter of application those applying to become school prefect will be assessed under the criteria mentioned earlier and staff will be asked for their comments. Deadline for applications is Friday 3rd March 2017 If applying for the post of Head Boy/Girl, once short listed you will be invited for interview with our Chair Of Governors, Mrs Lane,Vice Chair of Governors, Mrs Wigley Mr Thomas and Mr Mann. Short listed candidates for Head Boy/Girl will be notified on Monday 13th March 2017 Interviews will take place on Friday 17th March 2017 All applicants for prefect roles will be notified in writing by Friday 31st March 2017 Prefect training will take place on Friday 28th April 2017 at 3.15pm in the Wave
