Let’s talk development Team The who, what, where, why, How, and Benefits. WHO: Anyone who does not make the conference race team and/or would like develop their skill as a skier and racer. WHAT: It is an opportunity to ski and race to be part of a team, which can also feed the team as well for the future. WHERE: Little Switzerland Thurs nights. WHY: We can only race 40 athletes. HOW: Google forms is the same the choices at the end will have the development team check box. By having another venue to practice and race we can have more one on one time with each athlete and develop them at the correct level of skiing and racing. BENEFITS: Access to coaching, 8 organized practices, 2 timed races, a season pass to Little Switzerland. Cost: Boys $300 – Girls $150 (Season Pass is $289)

Equipment - bibs - lift tickets Equipment – Helmets with hard sides are required for all on - snow training and competition. Each athlete is responsible for providing appropriate ski equipment and clothing. Arrowhead provides gates, drills, radios and other equipment needed for practices and races. Bibs and Lift Tickets – A race bib will be assigned to each racer. Bibs are handed out prior to each race and RETURNED after the event. Lift tickets are purchased by the team, so it is very important for racers to be on time so we know exactly how many tickets to purchase. Racers who arrive after 5:30 will be responsible for purchasing their own lift ticket.

Races - Jv Conference - state Races – Full schedule on Statwack. Races are held at local ski areas including Alpine Valley, Sunburst, Holy Hill and Little Switzerland. Races consist of two timed runs of either Slalom or Giant Slalom. Team scores are a combination of the top 4 times for each run per 6 person team. Races begin at 6pm sharp. Athletes need to be at the venue by 5pm, Inspection at 5:30 for each race. JV Conference Championship - Our Red JV teams will compete for top spots after the state meet. State Championship – Our Varsity teams usually qualify for the State Championship to be held at Mt. La Crosse on February 17,18 & 19, 2018. AHS is the 7 time defending WOMEN’S champions. The Men are back to back defending champions.
