Candidate for the Director must: Have a university degree. Have a teacher’s qualification and teaching experience. Have no less than one year experience in managing a group (groups) of people; Be able to use information technologies. Speak one of the three EU working languages. Head’s competences assessed by NASE must be no less than satisfactory level.

Competence assessment procedure in NASE Assessment is conducted to groups of 3 – 4 candidates. A group of 3 – 4 assessors is formed for each assessment. Assessment lasts approximately 4 hours with breaks between the tasks. Tasks for the assessment process are universal and non-specialized for specific types of institutions.
Methods of assessment in NASE 1. Competence-based in-depth interview. 2. Individual practical management task. 3. Group management task. 4. General thinking ability (cognitive) test.
Five levels of competence assessment Very poor (1 point) Poor (2 points) Satisfactory (3 points) High (4 points) Excellent (5 points).
