What should my child bring to school? Every day children need to bring: - School reading book -Libro de lectura de la escuela - Library book -libro de la biblioteca de la escuela - Yellow reading record books - La lectura de libros de registro - water bottle -botella de agua On a Tuesday - PE kits Come to school in the correct uniform. Come to school well rested and ready to learn!

Behaviour Policy Política de Comportamiento Positive rewards for children who stay on the green part of the behaviour chart. Recompensas positivas para los niños que se quedan en la parte verde de la tabla de la conducta. Positive behaviour encouraged through earning merit points El comportamiento positivo anima a través de ganar puntos (merits). Formal calculation methods: column addition & subtraction to 5-digits; multiplication of 4- x 1- and 2-digits; division of 4- x 1-digit. Science has a heavy focus on these skills so that pupils have the ability to become excellent scientist and are not just learning content

Year 5 Homework Each week your child will be given the following homework: Cada semana su hijo se le dará la siguiente tarea: Spanish twice a week Maths (MyMaths) Spellings (once testing is finished) DAILY: Reading (and recording in yellow log book) Times tables

Homework Please encourage your child to explain to you what we have been learning about at school. Reading needs to happen often Reading needs to happen often! Children or parents to record what they are reading. Books changed by librarians. Word books issued to help with vocabulary. Children must always have an English reading book in school.

year 5 Reading Lectura -We encourage children to take ownership of changing their own reading books. We still keep a record of books read and read with them to check the correct level is chosen.
