Thanks. I have been talking with the children a lot about following classroom rules and respectful behavior. Please remind them to do their best and follow the Golden Rule. First graders participate in Jump Rope for Heart. The kids were given Hoops for Heart forms instead of Jump Rope for Heart. Mrs. Hennesey explained this to them in class yesterday. I just want to clarify: Everything is the same but three of the prizes. The T-shirts look different, playground balls not basketballs and jump ropes not planes are for the first graders. We have had a great time reading and learning with the author Kevin Henkes! The students enjoyed this unit and making character puppets. They are SO cute and on display in the hall with our 100 Mosaic Art! In Language Arts we will be focusing on grammar, written response, and Informational Text. Please remember to send in donations for our Night in Green class basket! A letter went home before Christmas explaining what to do. Our class basket theme is “Craft Beer”.
