Contact Information Write a note and send it into school in YELLOW folder (please not in the backpacks) Email me at rgriffin@bbrook.org Call the school 732-652-7934

Dismissal Please send in a note or email if your child is being picked up by someone else or will be picked up early. We will always exit out the side doors.

Absences Please call the school or send an email to let us know. Bring in a note giving the reason for the absence upon return

Yellow Folder Please check and clean out daily Return to school each day Put any important notes or documents in the folder

Homework write me a note if he/she is having difficulty in the yellow folder spelling, math, reading or phonics posted on my website (no homework on Friday) write me a note if he/she is having difficulty corrected homework usually returned only if many errors if forgotten, please return the next school day Review and show parent HW show parent reader’s and that I will not send front page home holding pencil properly

Classroom Rules Raise your hand Be kind to everyone Take care of the school supplies Keep your hands to yourself Listen to the speaker Sit criss cross applesauce Use appropriate language only Share with others Be polite to your classmates

Lunch and Recess Lunch is at 11:10 am followed by Recess The cost of lunch is $2.75 per day If you are paying for lunch, please place the lunch money or check (made out to Pomptonian) in an envelope or a ziplock bag. Write your child’s name and the amount on the envelope or bag. Place the money in your child’s yellow folder.

Snack Time Everyday the students will be allowed to eat a small snack in the afternoon. Snack only lasts for a few minutes so only pack the amount your child will eat.

Birthdays Please contact me ahead of time regarding plans for the birthday Food celebrations are discouraged Goody bag or small gift (ex: pencil) Read a story to the class

Scholastic Book Orders Books are available on the appropriate reading level and at great prices Place the orders online at scholastic.com/reading club If sending the order to school please write the checks to Scholastic My code is HMF9N Shw them scholastic news and how to go online I will send code with each order

Conferences Monday November 6th – in the evening (5-7 pm) Tuesday November 7th & 8th – in the afternoon (1-3 pm) Please let me know what time of day works best for you. I will make every effort possible to accommodate your needs.
