No Memorial?! Numbers 26:11: “and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up along with Korah, when that company died, when the fire devoured 250 men, so that they became a warning. The sons of Korah, however, did not die.”

Memorial! 1 Corinthians 10:6-10: “Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved. Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to play.” Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day. Nor let us try the Lord, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents. Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer.”

Prayer & Intercession Revelation 5:8: “When He had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” Ezekiel 22:30-31: “I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one. Thus I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; their way I have brought upon their heads,” declares the Lord God.”

Who gets the glory? God: Moses: The leaders: The families: The people: Holy in Judgment. Merciful to Intercession. Moses: Always praying. Not vengeful. The leaders: Some faithful. No mercy on the leaders of the rebellion. The families: Some perished. Some fled to safety: Numbers 26:11. The people: Some were saved by faithful intercession.

Christ for us Hebrews 7:25: “Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

Application: for us! The Presence of God is scary. With Knowledge, comes responsibility. There is One legitimate Priesthood Who saves. If don’t accept Him, there is no hope for you.

Soli Deo Gloria!!!
