Midsegment of a Triangle Segment that connects the midpoints of two sides of a triangle. The midsegment is half the length of the third side. Each triangle has three midsegments.
Example Triangles are used for strength in roof trusses. In the diagram, UV and VW are midsegment of triangle RST. Find the measures of UV and RS.
Coordinate Proof Proof which involves placing a geometric figure on a coordinate plane. Example: Place a square with side lengths 4 in a convenient manner on a coordinate plane. Example: Place a rectangle with side lengths l and w in a convenient manner on a coordinate plane. Example: Place a right isosceles triangle with sides h and p on a coordinate plane.
