Agenda Introduction Solving the Digital Divide from Space Broadband Connectivity and SDGs Solving the Digital Divide from Space NGSO in Millimeter Wave Bands Space Governance: Role of the ITU WRC-19
Most communications satellites require access to the geostationary satellite orbit and spectrum resources. Access to these resources is managed globally by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). ITU facilitates equitable access to orbit and spectrum resources and to promote advancement of technology, efficient operation, and rapid implementation of new services.

NGSO Global Broadband System Overview Copyright © 2016 Boeing. All rights reserved – Unpublished Work NGSO broadband system is designed to provide accessible high speed internet to all populated areas of the world.
NGSO Spectrum Plan System Utilizes 5 GHz of paired V-band spectrum for both uplink and downlink FSS band operations Time domain division between adjacent cells Specific assignment of timeslot, frequency, bandwidth, and polarization usage to the cells in each satellite coverage footprint will vary dependent relative to the location of the satellite to the Earth station Gateway and user terminals share uplink and downlink bands
