Goldwind at a Glance Number 1 Since establishing the first wind farm in 1986, our people have spent 30 years as pioneers in the wind energy business. Goldwind has more than 31GW of wind turbine generation capacity installed globally. More than 22,000 wind turbine installed, including 18,000 units using the permanent magnet direct drive (PMDD) technology. We have successfully listed on 2 stock exchanges, in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Number 1 in the world by newly installed capacity in 2015 Goldwind was established in 1998 as a wind turbine manufacture. Before 1998, we already have nearly 10 years wind farm operation and maintenance experience in Xinjiang. Goldwind is one of the first wind farm owner in China. We began our journey to become a world-leading wind turbine manufacturer and wind power solution provider nearly 30 years. As the end of 2015, the cumulated installed capacity already exceeded 31 GW. We have more than 22,000 wind turbine installed all over the world, including 18,000 wind turbine with PMDD technology.

Key Moments in Goldwind's History Goldwind isn’t in the renewable-energy business because it’s the flavor of the moment. We’ve been here from the beginning—and today we share our capability and expertise with the world. Goldwind founders set up the first wind farm. Identifies PMDD as the core technology for the company Acquires Vensys, a European pioneer in PMDD technology. Invests in the Uilk Wind Farm in Minnesota. - Its first in US. Goldwind’s biggest overseas project (215MW) goes into commercial operation in Panama. Ranked 1st in the world for newly installed capacity, with 7.8GW during the year. Goldwind first establishes itself as a wind turbine manufacturer Goldwind makes its initial public offering on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Later, in 2010, the company lists on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Goldwind wins its first 15-year maintenance and operations contract in Thailand. In Ecuador, Goldwind signs its first engineering, procurement and construction contract. This is the timeline of Goldwind history. Here I would like to highlight some key moments. In 2003, Goldwind identified PMDD as our core and only technology. We have rich experience of operating gearbox wind turbine during the first decade, and tried PMDD technology starting from early of 2000. In order to strengthen R&D capability, Goldwind acquired a Germany company named Vensys in 2008, who is a pioneer in PMDD technology. Goldwind starts doing international business since 2008. Goldwind always keep its outstanding position with tier 1 OEM. Our global market share increasing from 9% in 2014 to 13% in 2015. Obviously our advanced PMDD technology and comprehensive services are more and more accepted by customers and markets. The right chart shows our revenues segmentation. Apart from the main business wind turbine manufacturing and sales, the wind farm development and services also contribute a lot for each year’s revenue. Starting from our original base in Urumqi, Xinjiang, we have branched out to Beijing, Dafeng in Jiangsu province, Chicago, Denmark and Germany. In addition, Goldwind maintains good working relationships with leading scientific institutions, universities, and consultancies worldwide.
