Who are Your BEST PROSPECTS Current TRF Major Donors Multiple Paul Harris + PH Society Current Bequest Society YOU & Your Team District + Club Leadership

TRF Pyramid of Giving # of Gifts $$$ Produced Gift Value $500K $250K $100K $ 50K $ 25K $10K $ 1K The LARGER the SIZE GIFT Requested – the more likely the Donor will WANT to specify it’s use &/or have a Named Gift Opportunity!

2011 REGIONAL ROTARY FOUNDATION COORDINATORS’ INSTITUTE RRFC’s Opportunities • PLAN Regional TRF Seminar • ASSIST DGs + DRFCs with District / Multi-Dist Seminars • TRAIN District leadership • CONDUCT (when invited) sessions at Institutes + GETS • SUPPORT DGEs in setting District TRF Goals

Develop a PLAN + District Infrastructure 1. To Raise Awareness of RPCs • Urge DGEs & DRFCs to appoint Dist. RPC Chair + Cmte ~ RPC programs + Speakers Bureau ~ Promote RPC Fellow Applicants 2. To Identify, Cultivate & Solicit Prospects • DRFC – Major Gifts + Permanent Fund Chair ~ Add RPC to “the story” when discussing Gift Options ~ Use TRF “tools” to assist

Tips for Success • Learn the Basics about the RPC Program • Lead by example – it WILL create a ripple effect • Involve the prospect’s spouse, when appropriate • Remember: the identification, cultivation and solicitation processes are the same for the RPC-MGI as they are for other Major Donors, Bequest Society (Permanent Fund) & AKS prospects

Tools + Ideas that Lead to Success RESOURCES Utilized in Successful Cultivation & Solicitations: • RPC Video • Named Gift Opportunities + simple RPC commitment form • Rotary Peace Fellows & Alumni, TRF Staff • RRFCs, RPC+ MGI Cmte Members [+1 will help on $1M+ asks] • TRF Trustees, RI Directors: past, present and incoming YOU don’t need to be the one to “Ask” to be Helpful: • Be the “door opener” – invite a guest to an event • Tell your story why you support TRF or RPC program • Say “thank you”

One of the Most Productive Activities • What: Series of “small, hosted dinners” (lunch) • Purpose: to cultivate + set stage for “the ask” • Who: 8-12 qualified prospects + 3-4 DRF Cmte • Program: 1-1/2 to 2 hrs: meal & speaker/video – RPC Fellow or Alumni, RPC Donor, TRF trustee, RPC or MGI Committee member, RI staff, etc. Alternative Concept: “Million Dollar Dinner”

How Can Members of the RPC•MGI Committee 2011 REGIONAL ROTARY FOUNDATION COORDINATORS’ INSTITUTE How Can Members of the RPC•MGI Committee be of Help To YOU and Your Team?
