Global Grant – Not Ambassadorial Scholarship HIGHLIGHTS Global Grant – Not Ambassadorial Scholarship Graduate study outside of home country Study and professional goals within Rotary’s six areas of focus $30,000 award minimum Application completed online (www.rotary.org/grants) (first by Sponsor Club or District, then by student) University acceptance, program of study & budget at application Rotarians, spouses, lineal descendants ineligible

AREAS OF FOCUS Peace and conflict prevention/resolution Disease prevention and treatment Water and sanitation Maternal and child health Basic education and literacy Economic and community development

CANDIDATE FIT Aligned study/professional goal and international destination Commendable academic performance Public speaking/interpersonal communication skills High ethical standards in personal, academic, professional life Evidence of civic engagement/commitment Language proficiency, if needed Knowledge of local, regional, international current events, of Rotary and The Rotary Foundation, of culture and history of sponsor and host communities
