CONTRIBUTO DEL PROGETTO ALLE PRIORITÁ COMUNITARIE INDIVIDUATE PROJECT inHERE Higher Education Supporting refugees in Europe PROGRAMME Erasmus+, KA2 – Strategic Partnership DURATION 01/09/2016 - 31/08/2018 OVERALL OBJECTIVE Contribute responding to the refugee crisis strengthening knowledge sharing, peer-support and academic partnership on initiatives and resources aimed at facilitating integration and access of refugees in European Higher Education Institutions. OBIETTIVI Intellectual Output O1: GOOD PRACTICE CATALOGUE Collect and analyse good practice examples of HE approaches and initiatives in wide range of urgent situations, focusing on refugees and asylum seekers students, facilitating the identification of successful patterns of integration which have the potential to be easily scaled up; Sensitise HE governance, facilitating communication and institutional support within and outside the university; Provide relevant orientation and training to the university staff, to empower universities so that they are able to take an active stand and further replicate successful approaches and practices; Mainstream results, achievements and recommendations to HE institutions, HE networks and HE policy makers on the strategies that can be put in place to integrate refugees in HE O1: GOOD PRACTICE CATALOGUE O2: LIVING LAB O3: GUIDELINES FOR UNIVERSITY STAFF MEMBERS O4: RECCOMENDATIONS

CONTRIBUTO DEL PROGETTO ALLE PRIORITÁ COMUNITARIE INDIVIDUATE Horizontal priority: Inclusive education, training and youth Sectorial priority: HIGHER EDUCATION: Supporting the implementation of reforms in line with the 2011 EU Modernisation Agenda's priority areas Most relevant topic: Integration of refugees inHERE addresses the priority concerning inclusive education, attracting refugees from conflict affected countries into HE as a core condition for the success of the 2011 EU Modernisation Agenda (integration of students at risk of social exclusion, provision of equal opportunities for access to education, equity in treatment). This will be obtained empowering the higher education staff, so that they are able to take an active stand in facilitating access and integration of refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced persons into the European Higher Education Area.
