A 'Discount Voucher' is a coupon containing specific 'code', which can be exchanged for a financial discount during checkout. You need to run ‘Discount Voucher Campaigns’ for creating these ‘Discount Vouchers’. This interface allows you to create, edit or delete ‘Discount Voucher Campaigns’. You can also manage ‘Discount Vouchers’ of the required Campaign through the respective ‘Create’ link. Facility has been provided for sorting these campaigns through multiple options.

Differences Discount Voucher Gift Voucher 1. Can be created to apply both Percentage based or Amount based discounts. 1. Created to apply exclusively Amount based discounts 2. It can be used only once. The leftover discount amount can’t be reused again 2. It can used multiple times till all the amount/validity requires 3. It can be used to avail discounts only 3. It is treated as a ‘Payment option’ (Payment gateway) along with applicable discounts 4. It can be applied to only those products that are associated to discount voucher campaign 4. It is applicable to all products of Catalog 5. Options for availing discounts will be displayed in Display cart page and in Step-3 of Single Page Checkout page by default 5. Gift voucher will be displayed in Step 4 of Single page checkout page

You can use this feature to send newsletters and e-mail promotions to the subscribers with ease.
