Introduction To the people who live there it is Rapa Nui to the rest of us its Easter Island. One of the strangest and most isolated places in earth. Located in the Pacific Ocean at 3,700 km off the west coast of Chile. Hundreds of stone statues indication to one of the most extraordinary civilizations the world has ever seen.

These statues puzzled everyone has seen them for the last three hundred years.

How did Stone Age people make them?! How did they manage to move them across the island?! What did the statues means?!

there's two theories about that: And upright in a rocking motion Scientists have tried to solve the mystery of how the huge stone statues moved. there's two theories about that: Horizontal way And upright in a rocking motion

What did they represent? -They were gods. -They were the last vestiges of a long-lost civilization but once ruled the pacific. -Some even thought they were inspired by aliens!

Island without trees! an island without trees, didn’t make sense how the islanders move the statues ? how they made canoes to catch fish? it was then that scientists began to put together an extraordinary theory, the cause of this great disaster have been the statues themselves. Imagine you're trying to move statue weight perhaps fifty tons or more. every time you move one you're going to cut down palm trees.

The birdman! A competition involving every man on the island, it's game to crowning anew birdman. Each chief nominated a young champion. those young man drop into that water down there Swims for their lives approximately a mile out, the bird’s champion’s mission was to grab the first egg when the first egg was found by one of those young man he placed it in some sort of ad woven basket that he could wear on his head for its protection. And swim back to the island and present the egg to the chief. It was an ingenious solution. Historical accounts suggest the birdman did bring some stability to the island.

Conclusion So what we can learn from Easter Island, it's the story of the people who destroyed their won environment. People who were have obsession with statue building. but there is another way of looking at the story of Easter island, they achieved enormous success, they faced difficulty .in the end they did the best they could with the tools of their disposal. It is a story of greatest human achievement. Intermixed with terrible falling. in other words the story of the whole human history.
