Antarctica Mark Robertson

How To Get There… Travelling to Antarctica by air is not the best choice as you can only land on Antarctica and walk around for a very short amount of time also they are very expensive. Cruises allow larger amounts of Antarctica to be seen and they frequently allow expeditions to and from the mainland.

What to Take? The best time to go to Antarctica is in December or January. Its better to wear many layers than one bulky layer as you can remove clothing depending on the temperature You will need to take: thermals, long sleeved shirt, thick jersey, woolly sweater, anorak/ windbreaker suit, windproof trousers, thick socs and gloves, windproof hat with ear flaps.

Tourist Attractions Whales- blue, humpback, orca.. Penguins- Emperor Seals- leopard, fur, elephant Mountains- Glaciers

Food Food will be supplied by the people that you are with on the trip. E.g. the cruise. Make sure you leave no food packaging on Antarctica!
