Agenda + Info about Texture Stamp Making 1 - Work on Coil Project > Finish by Thursday - Make sure to take extra time to clean up your work and take care on craftsmanship – it is part of your grade! - Fill out Rubric and bring work to me with completed rubric when finished. Make sure to sign work on the bottom of the piece. 1 – Texture Stamp > - Draw 5 small Motif Sketches in your sketchbook (make sure to put the date) - Roll a coil and form it for stamp making so that it will be leather-hard by next class

1 – What is a Motif? > A decorative design or pattern Texture Stamps 1 – What is a Motif? > A decorative design or pattern

How to Make Your Texture Stamps 1 – Roll out a Coil > Roll out a coil that you can pat into a stamp shape Make sure to make a handle area and flattened section that can be carved. 1 – Let it dry to leather-hard > When it is leather hard, transfer your design (using ink method or freehand with a dull pencil) Carve away all low areas (the area that will NOT stamp) Smooth out with a wet brush or your finger… remember that any flaws will show up when you stamp – every time! Make sure to sign your name on the handle of the stamp
