Confirmation

Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace What is confirmation? Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace

So… what does that mean, exactly? Confirmation… Gives the Holy Spirit to root us more deeply as a child of God Unites us more firmly to Christ Increases the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us Makes our bond with the Church more perfect Associates us more closely with the Church’s mission Helps us to spread and defend the Catholic faith in word and action (CCC 1303)

Confirmation is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Because… it imprints an indelible spiritual mark on the soul, “which is the sign that Jesus Christ has marked a Christian with the seal of His Spirit by clothing him with power from on high so that he may be His witness.” (CCC 1304)

Therefore, Confirmation isn’t the end… It’s actually just the beginning

“When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.” - Acts 2:1-4

After I am confirmed, how can I be a witness?
