Updates from The University of Nottingham September 2016

University of the Year for Graduate Employment Ranked No.1 for graduate employment - The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide Climbed from 25th to 20th in The Times 2017 UK ranking

Shortlisted for University of the Year Shortlisted as Times Higher Education’s ‘University of the Year’. Also shortlisted for ‘Excellence and Innovation in the Arts’.

Quality Assurance Awarded the Quality Mark by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). QAA commended Nottingham for our enhancement of student learning opportunities – the highest rating possible.

Highest ever student satisfaction The results for the 2016 National Student Survey (NSS) were our best to date. We achieved 89%, our highest ever level of ‘overall satisfaction’.

New GlaxoSmithKline Carbon Neutral Laboratory for Sustainable Chemistry Constructed using natural materials, with energy provided by renewable sources such as solar power and sustainable biofuel.

Partnership with Kaplan 10-year partnership with Kaplan International Colleges. Starting to enrol international students college from January 2017. Supporting the recruitment of international students for our existing foundation programmes from September 2016.

4th in the UK for sport In July we achieved our best ever total in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) rankings. Over the past year our sports teams have dominated across numerous disciplines to finish fourth place.

CELE updates Fees reduced to £298 per week. Now a British Council accredited centre. New brochure – also available in Arabic and Mandarin. New, improved website.

Tuition fees update Instead of two instalments of 50%, tuition fees in 2016-17 will be charged in three instalments. Payment deadlines in October, January and May.
