Thought Leadership Series Overview Definition A series of problem statement and solution papers that provide thought leadership on a specific Grid topic Example topics: Security, Licensing, Applications Why is Thought Leadership Series important to OGF? Produces near-term results and generates valuable content that can be re-purposed Fulfils a perceived OGF sponsor benefit 1

Program ‘Ideal’ Assumptions Sponsors will produce content (quickly re-purposed from existing content) OGF provides program management and marketing support with minimal effort Simple and ‘low-bar’ vetting process Competition will drive momentum after initial push by OGF 2

Important Notes Initial topics to be hand picked for platinum sponsors to give incentive to produce first series of papers Goal is to have a minimum of 5 initial papers for launch 3
