Huntsville City Schools Class of 2017 Excelled Columbia High 4% increase in the number of students getting scholarships One student with a Air Force Academy Military Appointment Fine Arts scholarships are up by 100% Grissom High Current school total exceeds 2016 total by over $1 million Increased over 200% in both Fine Arts and Other categories Five full scholarships offered through JROTC programs; one student will attend USMA Huntsville High 48% of students received at least one scholarship offer Increased over 80% in athletic and business/technology/industry scholarships Alabama’s first Global Citizen Year Fellow

Huntsville City Schools Class of 2017 Excelled Jemison High Current school total exceeds the 2016 total by 3% Overall increase of 277% in Fine Arts scholarships Athletic scholarships are up by 102% Lee High 5% increase in the percentage of seniors receiving scholarships 45% increase in Fine Arts scholarships One student received 12 scholarships from academic, athletic and from local organizations New Century Technology High 67% of students received at least one scholarship offer Over 250% increase in athletic, business/technology/industry and other scholarships 77% increase in fine arts scholarships

Scholarship Offers Have Exceeded $50 Million for the Last Three Years

On average, Students in the Class of 2017 earned $34,952 per student in scholarship dollars!

Students Continue to Earn an Average Over $30,000
