Our Centre distributes all course materials in Poland and other Baltic Region countries (Slovakia, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine). We are often asked by young people from other cities – via e-mail – to advise them how to become a BUP student. In such instances we given them contacts to BUP teachers in their cities and universities.

Annual national meetings BUP Centres meeting, Nitra, 19-22 January 2005 Annual national meetings In the year 2004 we did not organise a formal annual national meeting, but teachers of particular courses had a chance to meet at teachers’ conferences in Płock, Ciążeń, Łódź and Kazimierz Dolny.

We promote BUP, for instance in the first national TV channel. In April 2005, at the Festival of Science and Art in Łódź, a presentation dedicated to the Baltic University will be made.

Problems at the centre / network etc. BUP Centres meeting, Nitra, 19-22 January 2005 Problems at the centre / network etc. Shortage of finances: the BUP activity is partly financed by the Technical University of Łódź. Lack of sources for promotion. We are in contact with teachers but the information flow between course teachers and students is beyond our control. Students often resign in the last moment from summer events organised by BUP Centre and disorganise in this way our work and do not allow other students to participate in these events. Some BUP teachers do not update their data and we often have problems to get in touch with them.
