What two surahs mainly mention the story of Prophet Musa as?

Sura Qasas and Sura Taha One of these surah’s tell the story in chronological order and the other tells the story as a flashback. Skim over the surahs and find out which one is which!

Why do you think Allah swt narrated the story of Prophet Musa (as) to Prophet Muhammad (saw)?

The people of Makka were going through a difficult time as they were being persecuted, the story of Prophet Musa (as) was to give them hope By hearing this story, that how abundant the enemys power, number of persons, and their forces is, and how the number of believers is apparently little and they are under pressure, the power of Allah is above all and they must not feel weakness in themselves.

How does this link to us today? Some things to think about Islamphobia Awaiting the 12th Imam as

Challenge: Read the first 20 verses and find the sins that Pharoah committed.

He called himself God He subjected people to punishment due to their caste.. Can you name any other leaders that due to people’s origin they are persecuted?

[3:103] Look up this verse and discuss how it applies to our life today?

Pharaohs third crime was abhorrent Pharaohs third crime was abhorrent. He commanded that for one year, every son born to the Banu Israil should be killed. Many baby boys were killed due to this command. Why did he do this?

The Pharaoh saw a dream that a fire emerged from the North, destroying all of Egypt including his palace except for Goshin, leaving all of Banu Israil safe. He asked his dream interpreters to explain his dream to him. According to the dream interpreters, the dream meant that a boy (saviour) will be born to the Banu Israil and this boy will destroy Pharaohs power. In the greed to keep his power, he thought he could outwit the plan of Allah (SWT) by commanding that all the newborn boys of Banu Israil should be killed.

[3:54] How does this verse tie up the story of Prophet Musa as and how does it link to our lifes today. If you come up with any ideas that no-one else has you get a green card.
