Writing Process Discussion: How do you start writing? What is your first step? What is the next step after that?

True or False Good writers are born with the gift of writing. Good writers can write a good paper on the first try. Good writers never have bad grammar or spelling mistakes. Good writers use complex sentences and obscure vocabulary. Good writers never need feedback.

Writing Process Writing is a messy, creative process that involves several drafts and much editing and revision. There are many steps to the writing process. What are they?

Activity: Groupwork In groups of 4, please write down the steps of the Writing Process. When you are finished, please write your responses on the whiteboard.

Diagnostic Writing Prompt: What’s the most difficult part of learning English for you? What do you struggle with when writing? You will have 45 minutes to write this essay. You may write single space or double space.
