Each Group will choose a city in the world 1. Where is your city located? What landforms are located in your city(mountains, desert, grasslands etc.)? 2. What is the climate (temperatures, rainfall, etc.)? 3. What natural disasters occur in the region (earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanoes)? 4. What is the population of your city?

What is Natural selection? Go to the following website and read about Natural Selection and Charles Darwin. Then play the survival game three times to see who is the champion of your group. http://www.sciencechannel.com/games-and-interactives/charles-darwin-game/

Introduction Here are the facts: 1. You and your 2 friends were on a plane to your favorite vacation spot when the plane suddenly crashed in a remote location.  2. You have no idea where you are. 3. You and your 2 friends are the only ones to survive the crash. 4. You have limited resources from the plane and from the island habitat around you. Your task is for you to use your resources and survive on the island until you can be saved by rescue officials.

The Task You have been broken up into groups of 3 by your teacher and the other 2 people in your group are the people that were on the plane with you.  Using the websites provided, you need to gather relevant information on survival. Make sure to take notes on the things you find interesting, useful, or important. Your goal is to survive on this island together. Your job, as a team, is to construct a survival plan from the information you find. The plan must include: How you're going to find clean drinking water Where you're going to sleep What you're going to eat How you're going to protect yourself How you're going to  flag down emergency services (coast guard, a plane, etc...)
