What is the Event Leadership Team?

The Event Leadership Team is... the group that is responsible for planning the Relay throughout the year, split up into different subcommittees who focus on specific aspects of Relay.

What are the responsibilities and commitments?

Responsibilities and Commitments... Come to all the meetings. You can’t miss more than 3 Meetings. We are meeting Twice a Month next year. Be available outside of large meetings to discuss your future your future on the Committee. Raise at least $200. Join ACS Can Special Events like Kickoff and Banknight are mandatory. Stay the night and help clean up. If you can’t follow through we can always have a meeting to discuss and talk about your future on the Committee.

What kind of an impact can you have?

Your participation will mean… If you have ideas for Relay, you have the influence to make them happen. If you’re part of the Committee you have a larger outreach to get donations and more participants.

What are subcommittees?

Subcommittees are... The groups that focus on the different aspects of Relay. The subcommittees are: Team Ambassadors and Recruitment Marketing and Publicity Ceremonies and Entertainment Sponsorship Survivorship Special Events Mission and Advocacy

Team Ambassadors and Recruitment

Team Ambassadors and Recruitment are the people that email team captains throughout the year and offer advice, propose ideas, and answer questions. They also work on recruiting people who may not normally join Relay.

Marketing and Publicity

Marketing and Publicity controls the social media accounts — Facebook, Instagram, Twitter— and sends out the mass text reminders. They also spread posters at school, and other things like that.

Ceremonies and Entertainment

Ceremonies and Entertainment organizes all of the ceremonies and entertainment at Relay. They write the scripts that you hear at Relay!

Sponsorship

Sponsorship talks to local businesses and community members to get sponsorships for Relay

Survivorship

Survivorship is the group that contacts survivors, organizes survivor events, and other things concerning survivors.

Special Events

Special Events organize different special events throughout the year like the Pairathon

Mission and Advocacy

Mission and Advocacy spreads awareness about cancer to help show the mission of Relay around the community.

Next Steps

Applications for the committee are due in 2 weeks from Friday (June 30) We will let you know if you have been chosen as a committee member about a week later
