Athletic Training Facilities Sports Medicine

Facility Appearance Flooring Non-slip tile in the hydrotherapy area Sloped floor in hydrotherapy area toward the drains located between each whirlpool Remainder of the AT room given industrial grade carpet or non slick tile.

Facility Appearance Walls Measurements Concrete blocks compose the outer walls of the hydrotherapy area. Measurements Ceilings should be high enough to allow for adequate treatments and tapings. Doors should be wide enough to allow room for larger equipment. Minimum recommended size 1000-1200 sqft

Facility Appearance Electrical requirements Plumbing Outlets around the athletic training room should be 2ft above the ground. Outlets should be placed in multiple locations to allow for use of treatment equipment Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter outlets should be placed in the hydrotherapy area 4ft above the ground. Plumbing Hot and cold water supply Strong pressure Hydrotherapy area and in the athletic training room for ice machines

Fixed Equipment Assets which are usually attached and integral to the building's function, although it might have a shorter life than that of the building. Examples of common types of fixed assets include buildings, land, furniture and fixtures, machines and vehicles. Non-Fixed Equipment Equipment that has to be replaced every year or so. Examples are tape, band-aids, cups water coolers, etc.
