Nanuet High School Class of 2017 This report has been compiled to provide and overview of the post-secondary outcomes for students at Nanuet High School. The data are intended to provide a summary of the post-secondary outcomes. Historical information is included to provide a reference point. College major information is provided as a snapshot of the goals our graduates are pursuing at this time.

University of Massachusetts, Amherst (6) University of Massachusetts, Boston (1) Students are encouraged to pursue their individual goals and not limit college choices. The class of 2017 was accepted to 202 different institutions.. University of New Hampshire at Durham (2) University of New Haven (4) University of Northern Colorado (1) Students are encouraged to set goals and apply to schools that are reach and safe if that is their interest. The average number of applications per student was 6.9 based upon transcript requests. University of Pennsylvania (1) University of Rhode Island (12) University of Rochester (2) University of South Carolina (2) The importance of informed decision making and college fit has been a major initiative. Survey results indicate that 91.8% of students reported they visited the college they are attending. This promotes the academic and social fit that is desired in the college admissions process. The average number of college campus visits for students was 6.2. This promotes informed decision making. Valley Forge Military College (1) Villanova University (4) Virginia Commonwealth University (2) An emphasis has been placed on financial literacy and FAFSA completion. This May, 85.5 % of seniors reported they had completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid with their parent/guardian. The Federal Student Aid FAFSA Completion portal supports the survey. According to the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation, only 45.7 % of high school seniors in New York State completed the FAFSA in 2015.
