All Resort Intro We Move People All Resort Express is in the transportation business If you travel a lot then maybe you have seen our desks at the airport. At the airport we need mass amounts of people when the season starts for winter The company has many divisions, below is a picture of the divisions. All Resort Express is a transportation company that has a desk at the airport and specializes in transportation up to Park City as well as down in the Utah valley. There are some divisions within the company as it has grown over the years: All Resort Express, Park City Transportation, Premier Transportation, Super Shuttle and Lewis Stages. The high demands for transportation is hard to keep up with. To accommodate the needs of transportation this includes having staff at the airport to work the desks, along with staff up in Park City and a fleet of drivers sufficient to provide satisfactory customer service. With this insatiable business, it is sometimes hard on the employees that work for the company

Over-Worked The company over works their employees. Those employees that are on salary are taken advantage of. Most employees have insufficient pay.

Long Hours During the winter employees on salary are required to work 6 days The employees work double shifts during the winter There aren’t enough employees hired to meet the high demands.

Understaffed The company is all about saving money A huge part of trying to save money is being understaffed We make things work with little to no employees The company won’t even allow us to overstaff to train During the Summer the airport is kept at minimum staff. There are three desks that the company has at the airport and the airport policy is that we need to have staff at each desk at all times. The airport doesn’t enforce this policy so All Resort can get away with staffing two out of the three desks.

Under Appreciated There is no compensation for excellent service While the company has us understaff the airport we don’t get recognition The airport isn’t recognized for the great things it does The company is starting to move in the right direction, they have referral bonuses for getting people hired on but that is because retention is very difficult. They are yet to have any recognition bonuses to reward employees.

Company operations The company Mass hires for the winter season The employees are then given little training to do their jobs If an error is made the company gets really upset Employees are expendable Once All Resort starts to get busy they mass hire employees, it doesn’t really matter who. Once the employee is hired they have little to no training and are expected to make no mistakes.

Expendable employees Seasonal employees are expendable Since the company mass hires the employee quality isn’t high These employees face the challenges of not having work all the time Seasonal employees work on an as needed basis only. Since the company mass hires the quality of these employees isn’t very high. Once an employee is no longer needed the company then stops scheduling them since they are considered a seasonal employee. They do not get Paid Time Off or Sick hours unless they have worked there a year.

Summer Season Summer Season isn’t busy enough to sustain the employees that the company hires When the slow time hits the employees are given 1-2 days a week Most seasonal employees are taken off the schedule completely There is only room for the core employees to be kept, the best of the best. If you are not in this category than you wont be kept on through the summer season.

Employee Benefits The company needs to appreciate their employees more by offering better benefits An employee doesn’t qualify for PTO until they have worked there a year If you work under 40 hours a week during the summer they can take you off of full time status If you lose your full time status then you have to wait another year to get PTO In order to get health benefits you have to be considered a full time employee. In order to get holiday pay you must be in the system as a full time employee. The company needs to improve their benefits. Most companies will give you PTO within the first 30-90 days.

Scheduling Based off of seniority Schedule is done a week at a time No set schedule for some employees Must work most holidays During the busy times everyone gets hours, during the slow time even the full time employees are sometimes dropped to four days a week. The good thing about the schedule is that its usually pretty flexible with school and with time off requests.
