Save formatted data file to your computer/server Right click on file name, then “Save Target as” to copy to desired folder

Click ipumsi file name to un-zip compressed data file. Click file name to un-zip data extract. Win-Zip, 7-Zip, and others recognize the .dat.gz file type.

Select “Data”, “Weight” then weight by wtper (for person variables) or wthh (household) Use weights for most extracts. This example of weighting is for SPSS.
